Lost in Long Play have spent the last 2 years perfecting their unique blend of electro beats and live instruments to create an immersive set where tracks flow seamlessly, entwining and reflecting melodies and rhythms throughout. Based in Oxfordshire, the three piece use the organic sounds of the Rav Vast drum and electric guitar to breathe a human element into the driving, sample based percussion and melodies.

They aim for every set to sound unique, juggling light and shade live and in the moment. Their music is designed to take the listener on a journey, blurring the boundaries between individual songs and creating a cohesive and immersive live experience.

Hannah Lunar Rose

Hannah Lunar Rose is an English song gatherer and storyteller with no fixed abode. She loves to collect songs and stories from times long past and help to keep them alive. In particular Hannah loves songs from Ireland and Scotland, especially in Gaelic. ‘Coming home’ is the sensation she experienced when first starting to sing in Gaelic. It felt like a remembrance of something unspoken and magical.

One of Hannah’s favourite things about sharing these ancient folk songs and stories is how potent they are at helping us to connect with our ancestors, in a unique way that she feels just isn’t possible in any other form. Hannah believes these songs give us a snapshot into our ancestors’ lives and really humanise them. Just like us they experienced love and heartbreak, jealousy, sadness, loss and all the other human emotions that are part of human existence. She finds that the old melodies and lyrics transport her and others back in time, to places we don’t ‘know’ but remember somewhere deep in our bones.

Hannah will be sharing her beautiful medicine in an Ancient Celtic Song gathering.
